Atlantic City Council Votes Yes For Expanded Outdoor Drinking

Atlantic City Council on Wednesday night voted in favor of allowing open containers in certain parts of the city’s Tourism District. The city by itself has no power to permit local bars and restaurants sell take-out drinks. Denver-based developer Bruce Deifik took two more steps toward buying the former Revel casino last month. Deifik registered a new company as a “casino hotel resort” in New Jersey and, through that new company, agreed to a mortgage on the former Revel property with the investment bank JPMorgan Chase.
