Amputee Support Group

All are welcome to attend.

The group is led by Mike Braxton, Para- Athlete and Amputee Coalition Certified Volunteer.

December’s meeting will focus on the importance of your relationship with your Prosthetic clinician, physical therapist, and having a peer mentor in your recovery. Brandon Holiday will be a guest speaker. He was Mike’s mentor and is also a Para-Athlete who competes in kayaking.

“My vision is to provide support and what’s necessary to help my fellow amputees accomplish their dreams and goals they set in front of themselves. Our meeting will provide a sense of comfort while being educated on the importance of limb health, the relationship with their prosthetic clinicians, proper fit of prosthetic device, knowing their limitations and striving to overcome obstacles, from stepping up on a sidewalk, to going for a jog.”
