Ankle Bracelets Work Just Fine, Brown’s Park Case Was Rare

An Atlantic City man who removed an electronic monitoring device from his ankle managed to elude police, but jail officials say such escapes are rare. The number of charged and convicted people wearing electronic monitoring devices rose by nearly 140 percent over the last 10 years in the United States, according to a study by the Pew Charitable Trusts.
