Route 40 Membership

membership

Yes! I want to be a Route 40 Supporting Member!

Wait – what is this and who is it for?

Route 40 Membership is for people who live in or around Atlantic County, New Jersey, and want to support local news as well as the best of the area’s independent businesses. If you don’t live in Atlantic County, or you aren’t interested in a membership but you still want to help us, please consider a one-time contribution here – a little goes a long way toward helping us become a sustainable business.

What’s the deal?

You pay Route 40 $50 a year or $5 a month. In return, you get to feel good about supporting journalism in your area, PLUS you get access to exclusive benefits from our partners: everything from first dibs on new products, services or sales, to special offers, events and giveaways.

Where does the money go?

The money goes directly to support Route 40’s news team. You can find more about them here. They need money to pay their phone and internet bills, report on the information and events that you care about, and find and promote the great partners that make a Route 40 Membership worthwhile.

Why did you set this up?

We know that everyone these days gets their news for free. We also know that small businesses don’t get much of a return on their advertising dollars. Local news institutions are dying because of both these problems. We thought we would try out a news membership program and see if we can create a sustainable news business and a community of great independent businesses and consumers in Atlantic County.
