Help The Atlantic City Junior Chamber in their efforts to raise money for disaster relief from the wildfires in Australia. 100% of the $25 ticket price will be donated to WIRES – (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.). Also, your $25 ticket price includes a glass of wine and a bar pie! WIRES has been rescuing and caring for native animals for over 30 years. The team at WIRES have been helping to rescue and care for the innocent victims of these fires and recent drought.

Laurie Egrie is walking down the hallway of Sovereign Avenue School carrying a cardboard box filled with odd little balls and popsicle sticks with notelets stuck to them, and she’s wedged an easel-sized writing pad under one arm. The corridor is half dark. School let out 15 minutes ago.

Behind the Scenes of AC’s Tennessee Avenue Redevelopment

We took a tour of the work being done on the beach block of Tennessee Avenue in Atlantic City last week, to check out progress on buildings that will house three new businesses and a non-profit. The so-called Tennessee Avenue Renaissance Project consists of a dozen properties on the Inlet side of the street. The developers will be opening a coffee shop, a beer hall, a non-profit yoga studio and a chocolate bar in the first phase of the project this fall. The beer hall, named ‘The Ten’, is the largest space on the block, next to two vacant lots that will be transformed into an outdoor beer garden. A back room at the beer hall will feature pinball, pool tables and other games.
