2017 Ventnor Holiday Lighting Contest

Join us for some Holiday Cheer at the 2017 Ventnor Holiday Lighting Contest!
The purpose of this contest is to stimulate and enhance a sense of community by rewarding residents and businesses that go above-and-beyond in decorating their property’s for the 2017 winter holiday season.

Contest guidelines are established by the 2017 Holiday Lighting Competition judges and posted below on this event page.
2017 judging criteria
Total of 100 possible points based on the criteria below:
• First Impression – 25 Points
• Design – 20 Points
• Originality – 20 Points
• Suitability to Site – 15 Points
• Creativity – 20 Points
(environmental elements including recycling, energy conservation, etc. will also be taken into account)
Dates;
December 5th,2017 event registration begins.
December 15th, 2017 – Official contest kickoff. Contest will be published on the Ventnor website, local social media, and other media outlets.
December 15th-17th, 2017 – Contest judges will visit the homes & businesses of the registered participants.
December 26th, 2017 – Contest winners will be announced Christmas Day via social media.
January 18th, 2018 – Winners will receive certificates of recognition at the Ventnor Commissioner Meeting
