AC Rescue Mission Summer Gala
August 10, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
On August 10, 2017, the Atlantic City Rescue Mission is holding its annual Summer Gala Fundraiser. The event is intended to benefit the organization’s 2017 “Lovin’ for Our Ovens” campaign to renovate its kitchen facilities. The Gala will be held from 5:30–9:30 p.m. in the brand new Avalon Conference Room at The Claridge Hotel, located at 123 S. Indiana Ave. Atlantic City, NJ 08401. The evening will include a plated dinner, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and photo booth with a professional photographer, as well as two special guest speakers: Dave Sholler, VP of Communications for the Philadelphia 76ers; and Roddy Chong, a world-renowned violinist and motivational speaker.
Chong, a remarkably accomplished violinist known for his high-energy performances with Shania Twain, Celine Dion and Trans-Siberian Orchestra, is considered one of the world’s premier violinists and musicians. He recently performed with Shania Twain in front of 100,000 people for Stagecoach Festival 2017 and is currently in his 10th year of touring with Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He has performed for audiences around the world, including former President of the United States Barack Obama, the Queen of England, the Pope, Oprah and countless other notable figures. Chong is also a highly sought-after motivational speaker, listed among Huffington Post’s “12 Business Speakers to See in 2017.”
Sholler, an Egg Harbor Township High School and Stockton University graduate, has an extensive resume that includes formerly serving as Vice President of Public Relations and Athlete Marketing for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
