Purses with a Purpose ( It’s in the Bag )

Hello Everyone!! So, here is a little info on what this event is all about!!
As women, we have certain struggles that we deal with EVERY SINGLE MONTH! It’s called a PERIOD. Now, I know the word makes a lot of people cringe, but….. our period is a fact of life. Luckily for most of us, it’s just a car ride and a debit card swipe away from makeing sure that we can the things we need… such as pads, tampons, wipes, motrin, and whatever else makes us feel clean and comfortable every month.

Can you imagine?? can YOU imagine being a homeless woman, either on the streets or in a shelter and not being able to have access to these things? what a horrible and embarrassing feeling this must be.

So, with all that said, I am going to be setting up donation sites around locally, and myself and Proud Mary’s will be hosting an amazing musical event, with mostly female led acts and some female loving male acts to help not only raise awareness, but to collect products to fill purses with to donate to the women who desperatley need them!!

Things we will be looking for include:

*New or Gentley used Purses
*Sanitary Pads / Depends
*Tampons
*CONDOMS
*Wipes
*NEW underwear ( all sizes )
*Soap
*Q-Tips
*Cotton Balls
*Travel size Shampoo and Conditioner
*Combs and Hair Brushes
*Body Washes
*Tooth brushes and tooth paste
*Candy bars/sweets
*Hand/Body Lotions
*Dental Floss
*Tissues
*Ladies Socks
*Hair Ties

and anything else you can think of!!!

I feel as though the ladies products are many times overlooked when people are donating to homeless causes…so, I want to make sure that we concentrate mostly on that. The priorites are at the TOP of the List…. Everything else is pretty much bonus stuff.
