World Above Welcomes Kirwyn Sutherland

On Wednesday, May 24th at 7pm the South Jersey Poets Collective welcomes Kirwyn Sutherland as the featured poet to World Above Free Poetry Night at Stockton University’s Noyes Arts Garage (2200 Fairmount Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401).

The evening starts with the usual Open Mic, where participants read one poem that is less than two minutes long. The break will occur just before 8pm, and participants will return to a free take-home writing prompt, introduced by the host or the prompt’s author. Then, Kirwyn Sutherland will read.

Kirwyn Sutherland is a Ciinical Research Professional and poet concerned with black people in all aspects. He has made two National Poetry Slam Teams in 2015 (made the Semi-Finals) and 2016. His work has been published in APIARY Magazine, Drunkinamidnightchoir, and Public Pool. Kirwyn is currently serving as Co-editor of Public Pool and Editor of Lists for WusGood magazine.
