Little Rock Films + Studios opened in Ventnor at the end of last year. Run by Dina Engel and Sherry McCracken, Little Rock offers acting, photography, filmmaking and writing classes and workshops from their beautiful space on Atlantic Avenue.
These are the classes and workshops on offer this month:
- Adult Acting “Cold Read” Workshop Master the hardest part of any audition, the cold read. Cold readings can be mastered and be fun just by learning a few simple techniques. The three week course will show you how to how to break down the scene, deliver more than what’s written (make your performance pop!), take your performance to a higher level and find a positive strong character. The two-hour classes begin Thursday, January 12 at 7 pm, $139.
- Hands on TV Writing Workshop Write your own TV Show. This one-day workshop will cover the following seven concepts: 1. Generating ideas 2. Narrowing your topic 3. Target your audience 4. Create a catch opening 5. Deliver the heart of the concept 6. Close it well 7. Write a tagline to create buzz. The workshop will be held on Saturday January 14th from 3 pm to 6 pm, $99.
- January Special – Save BIG on Headshots. For actors, business professionals or anyone who wants a new photo to use for social media sites. Basic Package includes (1) background and (2) looks or outfits. $149. Normally, $195.
